Over 5 000 TEUs Shipped by MIREX Direct Sea Service

The MIREX service launched on 17 June, 2022 by MDL FORWARDING connects Russia (St. Petersburg) to Indian ports (Nhava-Sheva, Mundra, Chennai). The transit time of the sea-leg is 25 days. Two vessels are deployed on the line with a carrying capacity of more than 35 000 tonnes each. The vessels are equipped with reefer sockets, which make it possible to transport cargoes requiring various temperature conditions.

On December 2, 2022, containers delivered by the MIREX service from India were unloaded at PLP Terminal. That was the fifth port call since the launch of the project.

The backhaul cargo flow from India consists of food products (rice, peanuts, frozen vegetables, meat products), construction and finishing materials, textile industry goods (yarn, cloth), medicines. The headhaul load is provided by traditional Russian exports: fertilizers and chemical industry products.

As part of the service, pre-carriage and on-carriage of cargo is organized to/from ports through the territory of Russia and India by road and rail.
