The results of the contest «Top Museum» established by the trust fund of V.Potanin were announced within the framework of the International Festival «Intermuseum», which took place in Moscow in the beginning of June.
Ninety two applications were submitted for the competition from 38 regions of Russia. Shortlisted applicants were selected by the expert council, and the winners were chosen by open on-line voting.
The Museum of Logistics has become a winner in one of the three nominations, and namely «Museum is changing and we are changing with it», having received 41% of the vote.
The Museum of Logistics will receive a grant for 500 000 roubles to further develop the museum space. It is planned to spend the grant for construction of the second stage of the museum, to expand the exhibition, and to create new exhibits as well. The project shall be accomplished within a year.
According to the Museum’s founder-director Maxim Maximov, winning the contest would have been impossible without wide support of friends and colleagues. «Our sincere appreciation to everybody who had supported us, and firstly our main partners – Transport and Forwarding Company MODUL and a system integrator in the field of logistics SOLVO - without whose assistance we would not have been able to achieve success of this kind».
